We would like to welcome you to join us and our community here at The George and Dragon to enjoy and savor a carefully selected local beverage in the beautiful surroundings of Swaledale
We are renowned for our great range of cask beers, mostly sourced from our regional and local micro-breweries. Of course you’ll also find lager and cider available too!
We have an exciting wine menu that offers wines to either complement your dining experience at the G & D or just to savour and enjoy through the seasons.

Wide and varied range of spirits on offer supporting local suppliers and distilleries, including Taplin & Mageen’s award winning signature craft gin and spiced rum
We are very proud to be multi-time award winners of the CAMRA pub of the year. Not only for the north, but also for the whole country!
At the G&D we have a fabulous range of guest cask beers, keg beverages and real cider, mostly sourced from local breweries. We rotate and change them on a regular basis to bring you something different to try. Our selections follow the seasons.
We have up to eight cask beers for you. Up to six of these are guest ales, mostly sourced from local and regional breweries. The remaining two are Wensleydale’s Falconer, a great session bitter, and Rudgate’s Superb Ruby Mild. We also have at least one real cider.
While we are absolutely committed to cask ale, we also have an interesting selection of keg beverages for those who want something a little different including three lagers, a nitro-stout and an IPA

The George & Dragon is a dog friendly pub in the village of Hudswell
We welcome four legged friends and have water & treats available to ensure they’re as comfortable as you are, during your visit!
Dogs are allowed throughout the pub, as we want both you and your dog to feel relaxed, safe, and happy at all times during your visit. We do ask that you use a lead at all times, both inside the pub and outside within the garden and patio areas.
